Twitter overload!!!

I am constantly amazed at technology. One facet of technology that amazes me most is how an invention may be intended for a certain use, but then a secondary use comes up that is even better.

A great example of this right now is twitter. When it first came out sure it was fun. Friends and family telling us about the sandwich they ate or who just had something examined at the doctor that we never wanted (or needed) to know about. But then things started to change. At the Computer Security Institute conference in 2010 it became clear to me how much things have changed. I first noticed that presenters were putting their twitter handles on their presentations. Then I connected with a few of the presenters after their presentations and some chats. Since then I have been amazed at the connections of connections of connections that radiate out from each new person I meet or follow.

What does that mean for tonight? It means that since I have been marking many interesting tweets via favorites I have now maxed out Echofon and have lost some old interesting tweets. So I have GOT to work out a way to save all of the excellent articles, sites and tools that people have clued me in to with 140 characters.

So how about you? What technologies have changed usage and blown your mind? How do you deal with twitter without just shutting it off?

I am the laziest admin ever

Even though I have just been informed that I am NOT the laziest site admin ever, I realize that it has been a long time since I have posted on this site.

I am planning on working on this site more often going forward and even starting to try and write up some observations on information security and any other things that I find interesting.

Watch this space…

Version 2.1.????

I actually have no idea what version this is. To be honest, it is much harder to keep my own site up to date and working than it is to keep sites that I am paid for or doing for friends up to date.

Regardless of if this is a good idea or what, I’m going to try again to have a little website about me and some of my basic hobbies. Expect to see some of my interests here as well as some side projects relating to computer security that I am working on as well as just general mind dumps from time to time.

Welcome!
